Lewi moved to Denver form Glasgow, Scotland in 2008. Growing up, Lewi started training in Martial Arts at age 5. Karate, Kung Fu, Escrima, Kali, and Pencak Silat were all enjoyable styles that he trained in – picking up some of these while traveling through China, the Philippines, and Indonesia.
After watching the first UFC, Lewi decided that MMA was going to be the next path in his Martial Arts journey. Visiting Denver in 2005, Lewi stumbled upon the Gumm Mixed Martial Arts in Littleton and from the first time he was taken down and repeatedly punched – he was hooked!
Lewi mostly now competes in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, but FLY has filled that kickboxing void that he has had since hanging up the MMA gloves a few years back.
